The Swedish Materials Science beamline at Petra III in the making.

The X-Ray beam will originate from two electron undulators located underneath the pile of dirt that is seen in front of the black wall of the present Petra III building in the far back.
The X-Rays will then come out of the electron tunnel right along the yellow structure that is standing next to the crane fundament to the right and and it will shine about 100 m through the beamline's various optical and experimental hutches.

With this Sweden has the possibility to strengthen our materials research, both academic and in industry.
